Uniquole came up with the exhibition concept Crystal Palace for this exciting location. The covered promenade – “the little sister of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II next to the Duomo”, according to Uniquole- is strategically positioned next to the Palazzo Francesco Turati, Masterly’s home base.

The architectural eyecatcher of the promenade is the its elegant roof construction in steel and glass.

To underline this historic architecture, inside the Galleria Meravigli a giant arch construction will be erected, after a design sketch by Maarten Spruyt - “it will be a building inside a building”, states Uniquole.

As the name Crystal Palace alludes, during Milan Design Week the location will exclusively exhibit design in glass, crystal or metal, with a mesmerizing glass installation as its centre piece. It is also a little nod to the eponymous Crystal Palace of the 1851 Great Exhibition in London, a grand pavilion entirely made of steel and glass. “In a way this Great Exhibition was the predecessor of Milan Design Week.”
