In Milan the Palazzo dei Giureconsulti is known as the Palazzo with the tower. Commissioned by Giovanni Angelo Medici, who ascended the papal throne as Pius IV, construction commenced in 1562 after a project by Vincenzo Seregni, the architect of the Duomo.
